Hi — I've built something for the families I train, and I'd like to know whether you'd use it.
It's called VNET. It keeps a record of what your athlete actually does in training: shots made and attempted from each spot on the floor, height, weight and vertical, ball-handling skills tested and re-tested over the season, session notes, and whether they trained full, modified or sat out. You see all of it on your phone, changing week to week, instead of hearing "she's doing great" at pickup.
You can keep their game stats in it too — make a folder for the season, add each game, and watch points, rebounds, assists and shooting trend across the year.
It's free, and it stays free for this test.
No payment, no card, nothing to cancel. I'm asking for ten minutes of your time, not your money. If this becomes a real product later, the plan is that I pay for the athletes on my roster — not you.
Two things worth knowing: everything you type stays on your phone, and for children under 13 the app records nothing about their body — no height, no weight, no sleep. Just what they did in the gym.
Getting it on your phone
It's an iPhone app, and it isn't in the App Store yet — apps in testing are handed out through TestFlight, Apple's own app for exactly this. So it's two taps, in this order. Open this page on your iPhone.
Reading this on a computer? The buttons only work on an iPhone — text yourself this page, or search TestFlight in the App Store and then open the second link on your phone.
Once it opens
Choose Start fresh to set it up as yourself, or Explore a sample team to look around a made-up roster first.
When it asks for an email or phone, and again for a code, type 11111. There are no real accounts yet, so nothing is sent to you.
Have a look around for ten minutes — the profile, the progress charts, and Games if your athlete plays.
Found something broken? Take a screenshot inside the app — TestFlight offers to send it straight to me with a note.
What I'd love to hear
Would you actually use this through a season?
What did you look for first — and could you find it?
What's missing that you'd want?
Honestly: would it be worth paying for? What would feel fair?
Say what you really think. “I wouldn't use this” is as useful to me as a list of ideas — I'd rather hear it now than after I build the rest.
What this test version can't do yet
Said plainly, so nobody expects more than it gives.
iPhone only. No Android, no iPad app, nothing on a computer.
Nothing travels between phones. There's no server yet, so what I record at training doesn't reach your phone, and what you enter stays with you. You're trying how it works, not sharing a live record with me.
Nothing is backed up. Delete the app and it's gone, and everything entered during the test is wiped when the real version ships.
There's no real sign-in. Typing 11111 opens it, so treat it as a sketch rather than somewhere to keep anything private.
Not connected to anything. No notifications, no Apple Watch or fitness trackers, no photos or video, no payments.
You'll hit rough edges. Some screens are still scaffolding and a few buttons do nothing — that's exactly what I want to hear about.
It stops working after 90 days. I'll send a fresh version before then.
Thanks for helping,
Casey Trujeque
